 | | The Calvert Hall Marching Bands are one of the most visible organizations on campus, by performing and entertaining thousands of people year round. The marching band performs in local parades, home football games, and competes in a variety of marching band contests all over the east coast. |
The Calvert Hall Marching Bands are broken into two elements, which are outlined below. | Full Marching Band (FMB) The Full Marching Band (FMB) involves every wind instrument from the entire Instrumental Music Program. The Full Marching Band performs at a variety of local parades; such as the Towson, Dundalk, & Havre de Grace Fourth of July Parades, the Baltimore Mayors Christmas Parade, as well as the Baltimore St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The Full Marching Band also provides the pre-game entertainment for all Home Varsity Football Games. |

| Competition Marching Band (CMB) The Competitive Marching Band involves members from the Instrumental Music Department to present one of the most visual groups within the Music Department by performing at our home football games and throughout the surrounding areas competing in two competitive circuits Bands of America (BOA), and United States Scholastic Band Association (USSBA). Membership is mandatory for all members of the Wind Ensemble and open to all other interested members of the band program, subject to Director’s approval. This group also includes a Color Guard, which are students of CHC and females from some of the surrounding Archdiocese schools. The CMB prides itself on its consistent musical excellence, and pushing the limits within its visual productions. |

| Color Guard The Color Guard is an integral part of the “Cardinals” Competition and Full Marching Bands. This group adds the color and pageantry to the outdoor performance arena. This group is open to all Calvert Hall students and is open to any female student enrolled in 8th through 12th grade in the surrounding area.
