Calvert Hall Awarded $50,000 Grant from The Sheridan Foundation

Calvert Hall College High School is pleased to announce the trustees of The Sheridan Foundation have awarded Calvert Hall a $50,000 grant. The grant will support the J. Wilford Sheridan ’27 Scholarship which is used to assist students in the La Salle Program.

The La Salle Program serves Calvert Hall students with identified reading and/or written language learning disabilities. The goal of the program is to provide direct instruction for skill development while increasing each student’s understanding of his learning strengths and needs as he becomes his own advocate. 

Joe Baker ’76, Director of Advancement, shared,The Sheridan Foundation has been a generous benefactor supporting the students of Calvert Hall for many years. The Foundation’s gift greatly assists our school in fulfilling our mission to provide a broad and balanced human and Christian education to a diverse student body.”

The Sheridan Foundation awards grants to Baltimore area private schools and cultural arts institutions through a competitive application and review process.
