Calvert Hall Takes Early Lead In Victory Over Belair High School

Cards jump out to an early lead over Belair High School and took home a 17-7 victory on Tuesday.
Calvert Hall scored on a fielder's choice by Antonio Barranca, a double by Peter Marchineck, a single by Alex Khan, a double by Garrett McIlhenney, a single by Jose Torres, a triple by Parker Landwehr, a double by Barranca, a stolen base by Barranca, and an error in the first inning.
Belair High School scored six runs in the first inning, but the Cards still managed to pull out the victory. 
Kasey Baumgart earned the win. He lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out three. Scott Borgmann threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Tyler Wright started the game. He allowed zero hits and four runs over one-third of an inning, striking out one
The Hall totaled 12 hits in the game. Landwehr, Marchineck, McIlhenney, and Torres each racked up multiple hits. Torres, McIlhenney, Marchineck, and Landwehr each collected two hits. The Cards tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Landwehr led the way with two.
