Calvert Hall defeats Archbishop Spalding By Eight Runs

Cards had everything working on Wednesday, winning big over Archbishop Spalding 9-1
In the first inning, The Hall got their offense started when Peter Marchineck singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. The cards notched three runs in the sixth inning. Garrett McIlhenney and Jose Torres all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Marchineck pitched Calvert Hall to victory. He surrendered one run on three hits over five innings, striking out five. Grant Duemmel and Scott Borgmann entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. The Cards tallied nine hits on the day. McIlhenney and Alex Khan each collected multiple hits for Calvert Hall Varsity 2019. Khan and McIlhenney each collected two.
