Cardinals improve to 3-0 with road win over Gilman

Calvert Hall got points from all six players and won at the Elkridge Club for the second straight year, beating Gilman 15.5 to 5.5 on Wednesday, April 10.  The victory moved the Cardinals to 3-0 on the young season.

"Elkridge is one of Baltimore's historic old courses," said coach Forrester after the win. "It has some unique holes.  If you're not careful, you can make some big numbers, especially on the front nine.  We played well today, particularly on the final four holes, which has become a strength of ours this season."

Harrison Silva and Michael Crowley combined for 3.5 points, while Austin Steckler and Lorenzo Sanz, in the second group, picked up 6 of the available 7 points in their match.  Patrick Hurdle and Matt Cover collected 6.5 points in the final pairing.

"It's always good to see everyone contribute," coach Forrester stated.  "That's the message we try and remember before every match.  We just need everyone to collect some points.  Four points in each pairing is all we need.  Today, we got more than enough points to win."
