Scott Pawley ’24 was the brainchild of the new Knott CARES (Catholic Academic Resource Enrichment Scholarship) Fund.  Scott is a two-time Knott Scholar (School of the Incarnation ’20 and Calvert Hall ’24). “Catholic school has been a blessing for me, and I think it is my responsibility to make it easier for others to experience that same reward,” he says.
Scott along with the other members of the Knott Scholar Council, raised money to provide scholarships assistance to students at St. Michael- St. Clement Catholic School for the 2020-21.  St. Michael- St. Clement is one of three PRIDE (Pupils Receiving Inclusive Diversified Education) programs in the Archdiocese of Baltimore that provides students of average or above average intelligence with mild to moderate learning differences with a modified curriculum implemented by specially trained teachers in small group sizes.
The fund supports students who learn differently and could not afford the program.  These students benefit from extra educational resources while attending a Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
Thank you, Scott for demonstrating the Lasallian mission, by looking out for others and working to provide Catholic educational opportunities for others.
