As a member of the class of 2000, CHC has had a significant impact on my life and career choices.  While many teachers and faculty played parts in my growth and development, four specifically influenced my life and career choices: Augie Miceli, Mark Tosti, Bill Karpovich, & Chris Barczak. I could write a dissertation of everything that I learned from each individual but ultimately, the core values of CHC come through in each educator.

Over the summer of 1999, Mark Tosti organized a trip of 16 people onboard the Carnival Fascination and somehow I got the invite to join. Needless to say this was the catalyst that changed my life forever. I went on to graduate with a double major in Business Administration and Spanish from Washington College. After a few not-so-great career choices, I ended up as an onboard employee of Carnival Cruise Lines. After living at sea, I moved to Houston TX, where I was a travel agent for one of the largest agencies in America until being furloughed due to the pandemic. This was a gift from God, during that time, I sold my home and moved back to MD to be close to family where I am today. If it were not for one door closing and another opening, I would not be the proud owner of my own travel agency today. Ready To Go Travel was born out of the cliche that everyone was sick and tired of being quarantined and stuck at home, countless times I’ve heard, “I’m ready to go” from family & friends everywhere. So when you’re Ready To Go Travel, a fellow CHC graduate is Ready To Help.
