How did the Br. Tom Miller Program prepare you for college?
Br. Tom Miller laid the foundation for my lifelong learning journey.  The time management skills I learned and the rigorous academic requirements of the program prepared me well for my experience as as college student-athlete.

How did participating in the program set your apart from other seniors applying for college?
The program’s academic requirements gave me a quality transcript that colleges must have liked to see. The outside opportunities and field trips to colleges gave me more info into the college application process.

What advice do you have for the current students in the Br. Tom Miller Program?
Don’t be afraid to ask teachers for help. If you’re an athlete, don’t be afraid to ask coach if you can come to practice a little bit late for a quick meeting with a teacher for a big assignment. Take advantage of any and all events such as speakers and field trips.

What was the best thing about being in the Br. Tom Miller Program?
The speaker events and field trips were all great. Sitting at the front of graduation with a gold sash was also a great perk – makes the parents proud.

Did you go on any Br. Tom Miller field trips?  If so, what was your favorite memory from one of the field trips?
The New York field trip going into freshman year was a great experience getting to meet the other Br. Tom students before the first day of high school and getting to visit New York for the first time and seeing Wall Street and the Statue of Liberty.

Who was the best guest speaker?  What valuable information did you learn from that person?
I remember Billy Ripken came to speak. His story is a reminder that you don’t necessarily need to go to college to be successful. There are other trades and careers in high demand.
