Br. John taught U.S. History at Calvert Hall from 1953-1976 while also serving as the moderator of the Parents’ Club, basketball, and soccer. He returned to The Hall as the Director of Alumni Relations in 1996 and acted in this role until he retired in 2010.

Calvert Hall President, Br. John Kane, FSC, shared, “I had the privilege of working alongside Br. John while we were stationed at Archbishop Carroll in Radnor during the late 1980s. He was a wonderful, kind and caring man. He was known at Calvert Hall as a sports moderator, and he carried on that tradition while at Carroll. Br. John had a great impact at each of his assigned locations. He was the definition of humility and service.”

A Rite of Committal & Final Commendation will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at La Salle Hall Chapel (Ammendale, Maryland) beginning at 11:30 a.m. The Interment will follow at the De La Salle Cemetery and a reception will follow.
