Ice Cards win 4-2 over Loyola

Paul Kansler
Calvert Hall kicks off rivarly week by rolling the Dons in Reisterstown.  Loyola would strike first & lead the Cards 1-0 after one period.  Poised to crack the Loyola goalie early in the 2nd period, Zach Dooley grabs a stretch pass from Brendan Connell to bury a breakaway.  A fired up Hall bench is alive & hungry, senior work horse Kevin Shiflett would bury a goal after hard work from Nic Heseltine, Seth Rollison & Zach Dooley to get the play going.  As the all Hall in the 2nd period rolls on, Brendan Connell would knock one home with assists from Peter Castaldi & Zach Dooley.  Senior captain Nick Johnson would seal the scoring for the Cards in the third.

Play of the game:  Defenseman Eric Leitch closes the gap on a oncoming speedy Loyola forward to give him a quick lesson on how to take a massive hip check.

Royal Farms Potato Wedges Player of The Game:  #35 Joe Ketchen 29 shots, 27 saves picking up his first career victory in goal.  Way to go Joe!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!
