St. Marks Varsity squad drops Calvert Hall 8-4 at University of Delaware

The JV Ice Cards head north for a out of state clash with St. Mark's varsity team. University of Delaware's Gold Arena was the site for the Monday night game. Joe Ketchen's 31 saves kept the red & gold in the game to match the high powered & dominate offensive play of the Spartans. Goals by Dooley, Johnson, & a pair from Heseltine capped the scoring for the Cards. Christian Ford & Peter Castaldi added two assists as well. The coaches dug deep on the bench to get a bit more aggression on the break outs, freshman Mason Gage would answer the call by throwing his body all over the ice making sure each Spartan knew what just hit them. Panera Bread's French baguette player of the game: Kevin Shiflett Kevin's hustle, determination, & grit kept the offense moving all game with numerous scoring chances. NBC's Hockey analyst Pierre McGuire caught up with Coach Paul Kansler just before team boarded their private jet back to Towson for his post game comments.
