Red "C" Challenge Winners Announced

This entrepreneurial competition consisted of eight teams creating business plans and delivering them to a panel of five judges.

The Red C Challenge competition is offered by the Career Foundation Committee of the Calvert Hall Alumni Business Circle. The challenge offers all Calvert Hall students the opportunity to form teams, create a concept or product based on the stated challenge objective and task, and compete for prizes.

This year's first, second, and third place teams were separated by a mere point. The winning team was comprised of Tim Foley, Kyle McDonell, Teddy Strozyk, and Gabe Ortis. The second place team was made up last year's winners: Paul Phan, Ian Elliott, Yanni Kevas, and Nick Randolph. The third place team was Mike Foley, Daniel Stewart, Peter Niehaus, and Collin Danz.

The McDonell Consulting & Development/Sandler Training Award recognized a rising star who shined throughout the course of the competition. This year's award was presented to Matt Minogue. The Distinguished Senior Star Award recognized a member of the senior class whose presentation and delivery skills set themselves a part from their classmates. This year's winner was Gabe Ortis. Lastly, the Red "C" Challenge Special Recognition Award showcases an individual who showed initiative and outstanding commitment to the Challenge. This year's award winner was Steve Zhu.
