Honors Geometry Class

About Honors Geometry Class

Honors Geometry: In this course students are introduced to Euclidean Geometry, its theoretical and practical aspects. Topics covered include angles, parallel and perpendicular lines, congruent triangles, triangle inequalities, quadrilaterals, similar polygons, circles, areas of polygons and circles, areas and volumes of solids and constructions.  Prerequisites: successful completion of Honors Algebra I or departmental approval. This course will be taught by Mr. Barczak (226 - Honors Geometry).
With departmental approval, incoming CHC freshmen may register for Honors Geometry as well.
Standard Geometry will not be offered this summer at Calvert Hall.

Honors Geometry Class Dates

Dates: June 25 - August 8*
*Note: This course runs two weeks longer than standard summer school at Calvert Hall
Time: 12pm - 2:30pm (Office Hours: 2:30pm-3pm)
Course Cost: $800

Classes will meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for 2.5 hours per day.  If vacationing for one week during the course, virtual learning must be approved by the instructor and summer program director.

Passing this course satisfies an Honors Geometry course for CHC credit.  Due to the nature of the course counting for academic credit, students are NOT allowed to miss class.  These classes will complete a year worth of material in seven weeks.  If you are a student from another school, it is the student's responsibility to check with your school to see if they will accept our class for credit.
