TOWSON, MD – Calvert Hall’s Baseball Program won three Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) “A” Conference titles this year and each team completed the season undefeated to finish with a combined record of 75-0.
The Varsity, which is ranked #1 in Maryland by the Baltimore Sun and #4 nationally by USA Today, defeated Mt. St. Joseph, 4-0, at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, MD on May 23, 2007 to finish 33-0 and win their third straight conference title. The Cardinals are 91-8 over the past three seasons and have set school records and state records for wins in a season (33), most consecutive wins in a season (33) and most consecutive wins (37 - 2006-current). Calvert Hall is the first team in Maryland high school baseball history to go unbeaten, and the first to collect three consecutive MIAA baseball crowns. The Cardinals now have 23 championships (either Maryland Scholastic Association or MIAA) since 1929, including 6 league titles in the 12 year history of the MIAA.
Calvert Hall’s junior varsity also won its 3rd straight league title and finished at 26-0 while the freshman-sophomore team was 16-0 to win its 2nd title in 3 years.
