    Apply Online
  • Request Grades and Records

Request your Grades/Records directly from your middle school. Your final sixth, seventh and first quarter eighth grade report cards are required, as well as your most recent standardized testing scores (if applicable). Submit your Request for Records form directly to your current school if you are attending a public or private-independent middle school. A built-in letter of recommendation is also included as part of this process.

If you are attending an Archdiocesan/Catholic middle school, you do not need to complete or submit this form. Please notify your current school of your application to Calvert Hall, and they will coordinate the records process and provide us with a letter of recommendation on the student’s behalf.

Please note: Families do not need to upload the Request for Records form or any other documentation directly into the applicant’s online profile. Calvert Hall Admissions will mark this step as completed within the student’s Checklist once all required documentation has been provided by his current school. Please contact Mrs. Lucy Baker at bakerl@calverthall.com or 410-825-4266 x117 with any questions about records.
  • Take the High School Placement Test

All 8th grade students applying for admission to Calvert Hall are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). Online registration for this mandatory entrance exam is now open.

Calvert Hall will host the HSPT on December 7 and December 14 from 9:00 a.m. - noon.

Students currently attending a private/independent or public middle school are able to take the HSPT at Calvert Hall on either one of those two dates.

Students currently attending an Archdiocese of Baltimore (AOB) middle school will take the HSPT at their current middle school, during the school day, on Wednesday, December 4.

Regardless of your testing location, all prospective Calvert Hall students should visit the HSPT Registration page by clicking here in order to register for the test

Please contact Mrs. Lucy Baker, Admissions Assistant, at bakerl@calverthall.com or 410-825-4266 x117 with questions.
  • LaSalle Applicants

Applicants applying to the LaSalle Program must denote this intention on their admissions application. The LaSalle Program works with students that have documented language-based learning differences such as dyslexia or dysgraphia. A psycho-educational evaluation (not a 504 plan or IEP evaluation) dated within the past 12 months will be requested once the admissions application is submitted.

If you have any questions, please contact the Director of the La Salle Program, Jennifer Healy, at 410-825-4266 x133.
