Dear Parents and Guardians,

 

It is hard to believe that we are already headed for October when it seems summer was just beginning. I want to offer my welcome back to you as the new school year is in full swing. The summer was a busy one here at The Hall. Aside from the normal busyness we had two major construction projects. The first, the John G. Noppinger, Jr., ’64 Commons was completed and dedicated during the opening of school. If you have not had a chance to visit and see it, please do. It is a beautiful space and full of our students before, during and after school. The second project required significant repairs to the Knott Center foundation due to water intrusion. That project has taken more time and is being completed this week.

 

I believe that we have a wonderful and committed faculty and staff here at The Hall. This past weekend we acknowledged that by Affiliating Mr. John Thaler and Mr. Augie Miceli to the Christian Brothers, the highest honor the Brothers can bestow on a colleague. These men reflect and model the Lasallian values that we hold dear at Calvert Hall. Congratulations to Mr. Miceli and Mr. Thaler.  Finally, a Lasallian school is a community where all are welcome and all are involved, including our parents and Guardians. We welcome your interest and participation in your son’s education. I would also encourage  you to consider getting involved with the Parent’s Club. It is a wonderful group that does so much for our young men.
