The Calvert Hall varsity basketball team opened the 2014-2015 season with a 79-65 win over Friends.  The Cardinals opened up a 40-18 lead at halftime but saw that lead dwindle to 12 in the 3rd quarter due to some costly turnovers and strong 3 point shooting from the Quakers.  The Hall quickly pushed the lead back to 17 in the 4th quarter and held on for the victory.  Next up for the Cards is the MIAA/BCL opener at home vs. a very talented Mt. Carmel team.
