Calvert Hall came out firing in the first round of the Baltimore Catholic League Tournament on Thursday evening. The Hall used 5 three pointers in the first quarter to jump out on Archbishop Spalding 26-10. The Cardinals continued to use stellar defense in the second half to push the lead to 65-25 at one point. The final score was 80-42 and 11 of 13 players scored for the Hall in the victory. Calvert Hall will be back in action on Sunday at 7:30pm at Towson University's SECU Arean for the semifinals of the BCL tournament. The Hall will face the winner of the Mt. Carmel vs. Mt. St. Joseph game.
