Ms. Niki Creamer's letter
I am thrilled to be a part of the Br. Tom Miller Program as its new director. I am just finishing up my second year at Calvert Hall and have had a wonderful time getting to know and teach the wonderful young men at our school as a part of the Religion Department.
As soon as I saw the experiential focus of the Brother Tom Program, I knew that it was a program in which I wanted to take part. I feel strongly about the need for learning to continue outside of the walls of a school. Whether through an encounter with the arts, a service-learning trip, or learning about different career opportunities, when we are able to make connections between the classroom and the world, our educational experience becomes so much deeper. This program makes it possible to have those exact experiences and Brother Tom Miller serves as our ideal example.
I am thrilled to bring back some of the programming from the past as well as come up with some new and exciting opportunities. I hope too that I am able to make connections with alumni of Brother Tom. It is so important that our current students are able to meet and learn from men who have gone through the program before and have seen the real benefit it can have in their lives.
