Kropp and Miceli honored for 50 Years at The Hall
Mr. Joseph G. (George) Kropp, Social Studies Department, and Mr. Augustine F. Miceli, Sr., Mathematics Department, were honored for their 50 years of dedicated and faithful service as teachers and former coaches at Calvert Hall during a Mass and Dinner at Calvert Hall on May 22, 2010.
Both teachers began their careers at Calvert Hall for the 1960-61 school year, the first at its current location on La Salle Road in Towson after moving from Cathedral and Mulberry Streets in downtown Baltimore. In addition to their teaching careers, both men were successful head varsity coaches, Mr. Kropp with the swimming and water polo programs and Mr. Miceli with the football and basketball teams.
The honorees were joined at the gathering by members of their family, the Christian Brothers community, the administration and faculty, and invited guests.
