CALVERT HALL IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A RELIGION TEACHER
FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate religion teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire students in their faith journey, foster spiritual growth, and promote a deep understanding of Catholic teachings, scripture, church history, and moral theology. This individual will create an engaging and supportive classroom environment that encourages all students to explore and live out their faith as leaders in the church and society.

REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in theology and/or religious studies (master's degree preferred)
  • Previous teaching experience in religion or theology, preferably in a high school setting, will be considered as a substitute for degree work
  • Understanding of Catholic theology, Church teachings, and Lasallian educational principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and inspire students.
  • Commitment to fostering a faith-centered learning environment that supports students' spiritual, moral, and intellectual development.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Designs and teaches engaging lesson plans that incorporate scripture, church documents, and catholic social teachings to promote growth in faith and spirituality,
  • Foster classroom discussions that promote critical thinking, faith exploration, respectful dialogue, and student engagement.
  • Guide students in prayer, service, and reflection opportunities rooted in the Lasallian tradition.
  • Collaborate with Campus Ministry and the religion department to support the school community's liturgical and spiritual life.
  • Works well in a team-teaching environment to assess student understanding and promote academic achievement.
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position ranges from $44,500 to $70,000 annually and is commensurate with education and experience. This position is eligible for full-time benefits, including personal and sick leave benefits.
