French Teacher

CALVERT HALL IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A FRENCH TEACHER
FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

We are seeking a French teacher for a full-time position who can teach a wide range of courses from French I through French IV/AP French.  In addition to teaching, there is a strong preference for someone who will be involved in our extensive co-curricular program, whether in athletics or activities.
REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s degree in French or degree in education with a concentration in French
  • A master’s degree is preferred  
  • Previous French teaching experience in a school setting will be considered as a substitute for a language degree
  • Preference for individuals with ability to teach a second language or other content area
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Knowledge of best practices, strong instructional strategies, and effective pedagogical techniques is essential
  • Works well in a team-teaching environment. 
  • Shares in presenting course material in a lecture format
  • Develops and administers a balance of traditional and alternative assessments
  • Maintains the classroom environment, encouraging discussion and student engagement
  • Provides support for our students both in the classroom and outside class time
 
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position ranges from $44,500 to $70,000 annually and is commensurate with education and experience. This position is eligible for full-time benefits including personal and sick leave benefits.
