Finance Assistant

CALVERT HALL IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A FINANCE ASSISTANT TO BEGIN ON JULY 15, 2024
 
Calvert Hall College High School, a Catholic and Lasallian college preparatory school, provides a diverse community of young men with a broad and balanced human and Christian education through excellent academic and extracurricular programs that promote leadership, achievement and service within the church and community.
 
This position is responsible for processing vendor payments for Catholic Charities on a weekly basis. The Finance Office Assistant ensures all required information is correctly entered into the Accounts Payable system, checks are printed and distributed, and the bank is notified of the checks included in each check run. The Finance Office Assistant is also responsible for the weekly deposit of miscellaneous cash and other funds to the checking account and ensuring the deposits are correctly recorded in the accounting system.  The Finance Office Assistant will reconcile prepaid accounts and payables along with monitoring credit cards.
 
An associate degree is preferred. Three to five years’ experience in a business office may be in lieu of an associate degree.  A dedicated team environment along with excellent relational skills and a courteous demeanor toward staff, students, and parents is required. Exceptional skills required utilizing computer systems and software to perform position functions. Basic Windows PC, web browsing (i.e., Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.), Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Zoom/Skype. Blackbaud NXT experience is preferred.

Compensation Information:
Calvert Hall College High School offers a competitive salary with additional benefits including but not limited to three weeks’ vacation, comprehensive health benefits, 403(b) employer match up to 7%, and tuition remission opportunities. Individual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
 
This position reports to the Chief Finance Officer
