My journey from Calvert Hall College to my current achievements has been a mix of challenges, determination, and notable accomplishments. I began high school at Calvert Hall in 2010, where I played sports, maintained a 4.0 GPA, completed a few AP classes, and joined the National Honor Society. My time at Calvert Hall instilled in me the importance of strong values, hard work, and a solid foundation for my future endeavors.

After high school, I entered the University of Maryland, College Park but not as a full-time student. My initial application was denied, and I was only admitted into the Freshman Connection program, meaning I was barely admitted to the second semester of the year. I did not let this deter me and used this as fuel to work harder than everyone else. After a stressful and intense first year, I was accepted into engineering school. I ended up graduating with Department Honors with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the James A. Clark School of Engineering, one of the top 25 engineering schools in the nation.
After graduation and eager to explore the professional world, I promptly began my engineering career with Northrop Grumman. The transition from academia to the corporate landscape was both challenging and rewarding. I was committed to my engineering career, but having played sports since I was 5 years old, I had a deep passion for the sports and fitness world. Rewinding a bit, at the end of college I received my CPT (certified personal trainer) credentials from NASM, based on a desire to learn and know how to work out more effectively. With this certification, my sports background, and a handful of clients, my cousin approached me to see if I wanted to use his brand-new event space at Wonderfly to train clients. This was the start of a beautiful partnership where I learned so much about business, relationships, and leadership in a short amount of time. I owe most of where I am today to my cousin, Jon, who was my first mentor. In addition to my growing fitness business and engineering career, I ventured into real estate by investing in two rental properties in Baltimore by the age of 25.
Shortly after, an investor approached us about opening a new location in Timonium. This opportunity led to my becoming COO and co-owner of Wonderfly, creating an incredibly unique business model; a luxury event venue and gym rolled into one. Today, Wonderfly has 2 locations in Catonsville and Timonium and is growing! If you asked me in college where I would be in 5 years, this would be my last guess. Staying open to new opportunities, being comfortable and uncomfortable, is the only way to grow. Life’s a journey, embracing the hardships and never giving up.
