Stubbing The Toe

Nashid Coleman
I'm sure we've all experienced stubbing that little toe on the bed frame once or twice in our lifetime. Well the sting from the loss to St. Maria Goretti last night was very similar to that.  However, just like the pain in that toe, this pain too, shall pass.

The Cardinals looked flat from the jump ball, although winning the tip, they faltered on the first possession of the game.  A very scrappy and determined defense in the first half saw the Cardinals down only 3 at the half.  Senior Captain -  Brendan Adams and Junior leader -  Logan Curtis have seen better days on the court as neither could really get going.  Freshman guard Darrius Tilghman showed glimpses of promise and what we can look forward to for years to come, but was often bitten by the freshman mistake bug.

St. Maria Goretti came to campus with an impressive front line core that included guys from 6'6"-6'9" and that size proved to be difficult for the Cardinals at the rim.  A flurry a 3-point shots in the second half helped create space between the Gaels and the Cardinals which helped seal the win for the visiting team from Hagerstown.

The Cardinals are back in action on Wednesday, November 29th at 7pm against the visiting Cougars from Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  Come out and show your support!  GO HALL!!
