Meadow Mill Athletic Club and US Squash link
Hello,
As the season commences, I just wanted to point out a couple of things:
1. There is a link for "US Squash" rules so that all players can get familiar with the sport. It is important as there are no officials in squash; players officiate themselves and each other.
2. If you have never been to Meadow Mill Athletic Club (MM), I just want to explain a bit about the area as it can be cumbersome. MM is located at 3600 Clipper Mill Rd., 21211.
It is adjacent to I83 expressway just south of exit 7 (Druid Hill Park/ Falls Rd). However, if you take 83 to get there, you want to exit at Cold Spring Ln and take Falls Rd south. Now, you can enter the club from 2 ways. One way has a long, paved ramp that can not accommodate two-way traffic. The ramp runs parallel to the light rail. Just make sure no one is exiting up the ramp before you go down. Then you follow the road around to the left and the entrance has double doors under an awning with MM on it.
From the other end, you will cross a wooden bridge that is directly beneath I83 and it goes over the Jones Falls waterway. Then proceed left around the rear of the MM building until you see the entrance with the awning.
Bottom line is there are two ways to get to the one entrance. There is ample room in the parking lot.
3. All JV players should report to the first practice on Tuesday at 3:30-4:15pm. You must have a mask, goggles, a racket, and water. I will have balls. Please be sure to have completed the daily wellness survey before 2:00 pm.
