Calvert Hall Stays Scrappy In Loss To Georgetown Prep
Cards effort to come back from down six runs in the fifth inning came up just short, as they fell 6-4 to Georgetown Prep on Saturday.
Calvert Hall scored four runs in the failed comeback on a triple by Peter Marchineck in the sixth, a single by Jose Torres in the seventh, a single by Parker Landwehr in the seventh, and a error in the seventh. The Cards scored three runs in the seventh inning. Torres, Landwehr, and Michael Bair each had RBIs in the frame. Alex Khan took the loss for Calvert Hall Varsity 2019. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out four. Torres went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Calvert Hall in hits.
