CHC Actions Surrounding COVID-19
The conversation surrounding COVID-19 is ever-changing and evolving. Please check our website frequently as we will update information on a regular basis. Click read more to learn the steps CHC is taking.
- Beginning March 16th, Calvert Hall moved to a virtual learning environment. Over 1150 campuses of The Hall opened on the 16th. Teachers are providing - live interactive classes, filmed tutorials, virtual "office hours" and more utilizing the technology of the Microsoft Office Suite including the applications Teams and Stream. Guidance counselors continue to follow student performance and check in with students.
- Each day, a morning prayer is broadcast to the school community. Twice a week, Sylvia Doud, from our school counseling team, leads an on-line Mindfulness Minute
- Mr. Blake, assistant principal for academics, is supervising instruction and has been surveying faculty, students and parents identifying ways to maximize the instructional program.
- The technology team and school counselors are providing support for students with computer or internet obstacles.
- All athletic games & practices are cancelled until school returns to in person sessions..
- All activities, rehearsals, travel, and performances are cancelled until school returns to in person sessions..
- A full school assembly (on-line) is scheduled for the morning of April 8.
Finally, we will continue to monitor the situation with the safety of the students being the first priority. Additional information will be available and sent as needed.
