The following week, Saturday, October 21, 2023, the CHC Varsity Volleyball squad went to NDP to play in the Annual Claire Marie Wagonhurst scholarship match.  Both teams were winners as they raised over $2000 which exceeded the amount from the previous year.  The Claire Marie Foundation raises awareness, clarity, and hope in the fight against adolescent and young adult melanoma.  Claire Marie Wagonhurst lost her battle to melanoma at the young age of 17.  Claire is the daughter of former WBAL-TV news anchor, Marianne Banister.  She is thrilled that Calvert Hall always participates in this wonderful event, a sport that Claire loved.
