Calvert Hall's team of juniors John Bennett, Tom Hartka and Paul LaShier and faculty coach, Mr. Michael Magrogan defeated teams from Lansdowne Senior High School of Baltimore, MD and Urbana High School of Ijamsville, MD on IT'S ACADEMIC, the nation's foremost high school quiz program. The match will be aired Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 10am on WJZ - Channel 13. Calvert Hall will return later this season for a playoff match with two other first round winners.  IT'S ACADEMIC is sponsored by Giant Food and Morgan State University.
