TROY, Mich. — Roofing Contractor magazine announced that its 2013 Residential Roofing Contractor of the Year is Fick Bros. Roofing & Exterior Remodeling Company of Baltimore, Md. The Fick family has been a fixture on the rooftops of Baltimore since 1915, and today Fick Bros. continues to build a reputation for integrity and top-quality workmanship. Its management team includes President Patrick Fick '93, Chairman of the Board Joseph A. Fick Jr. '65, Vice President Jeffrey P. Fick '71, and Vice President James J. Fick '92, and Administration Department Manager Megan E. Fick.

Fick Bros. was chosen as this year’s winner by a panel consisting of the Roofing Contractor publisher, editorial staff and editorial advisory board. The goal of the award is to honor contractors that employ industry best practices, provide a good working atmosphere for employees, and excel at both quality workmanship and customer service.

Patrick Fick thanked Roofing Contractor for the award, and credited the company’s entire team for its continued success. “From our newest apprentice, to our most seasoned craftsmen, to our office staff, to our sales team — our employees are the best,” he said. “They care as much as we do about the quality of their work.They are why we have been successful.”

“I think our greatest strength is our commitment to doing the right thing,” Fick noted. “We live by installing the roof right and running every aspect of the business the right way. On the first page of our proposals we say, ‘We Do It Right – We Do It By The Book – Or We Don’t Do It At All.’ That’s our motto. We hang our hat on that.”
