Calvert Hall Takes Victory Over McDonogh In A High-Scoring Affair

Both Calvert Hall and McDonogh had their offenses going on Friday, but the Cards eventually prevailed 11-8.
The Cards got things moving in the first inning, when Antonio Barranca singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Calvert Hall tallied three runs in the seventh inning. The rally was led by a single by Parker Landwehr and by Jose Torres.
McDonogh scored three runs in the sixth inning. Peter Marchineck earned the victory on the hill. He lasted four and a third innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out seven. Tyler Brown and Scott Borgmann entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Calvert Hall socked one home run on the day. Torres had a homer in the sixth inning. Sami Khan led the Cards with two hits in four at bats.
