Head Coach: Max Schlegel

Read Bio

Max Schlegel was born and raised in Anne Arundel County Maryland. He swam for Navy AC team from 1985 to 2003 and played water polo from 2000 to 2007. He was captain of the Northeast zone team for seven years, while playing for the Navy AC team, as well as making the Developmental, Cadet, and youth Nation teams. With the national teams he played in Mexico, Serbia, and Montenegro, and won a Gold Medal in Youth Pan America games.

After high school Max attended Loyola Marymount University from 2007 to 2011 playing five seasons of division one water polo for the LMU Lions. In his senior year he was named Co-Captain of the team. During his college career LMU won four consecutive WWPA Conference Championships.

Last year was Max's first season being a part of the CHC water polo community, assisting Mark Rich in the 2013 MIAA championship season. After the High school season he worked as the head coach for the Cardinal and Gold club water polo program.
